Margaret McSweeny

Advancement Associate and Volunteer Coordinator

Margaret McSweeny serves as the Advancement Associate and Volunteer Coordinator, and has been in this position since 2017. She is a native of the South Coast. Margaret first worked at OSS as one of the founding AmeriCorps teachers from 2008 to 2010. Then, from 2012 to 2014, she was the 7th and 8th grade humanities teacher and the head of the humanities department. Margaret has an M.A. in Education from UMass Dartmouth and a B.A. in Religion from the University of Puget Sound. She is incredibly happy to work at OSS where she can continue to focus on her commitment to social justice and community. She works with the Director of Advancement on fundraising efforts for OSS, runs the volunteer program, organizes clubs, and oversees all family and student service.
