Kye Mosca
Health Teacher, STEAM/Creative Suite Team
Kye Mosca joined OSS as an AmeriCorps teacher in 2018 and now runs the Community Core Program and teaches Health. They graduated from St. Andrews University with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Equine Studies and Business. For many years before teaching, Kye was a professional horse trainer, learning from their work what it means to be genuine and develop and maintain authentic partnerships built on trust and respect. Kye is in their third year at Lesley University, training to become a school adjustment counselor. Their long term plan is to provide mental health support to adolescents within a school and community context. Kye’s dog, Elsa, who is Canine Good Citizen Certified, is also a member of the OSS community and has been trained to cohabitate with humans in a safe and friendly manner. Kye and Elsa love being a part of a dynamic staff whose collective intention is to facilitate opportunities for these incredible young people to develop the skills they need to take care of themselves and the communities in which they live.
