Amy Sanders
Director of Secondary School Placement & Graduate Support
Amy Sanders joined OSS as our Director of Secondary School Placement and Graduate Support in 2020. Before coming to OSS, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer, taught history at a high school in Maine, worked as a K-12 curriculum writer, and served as a community volunteer working with refugees and immigrants to support them with their college applications. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota.
As an educator with a passion for empowering young people, she is excited about merging her enthusiasm for education with her desire to work for social justice by increasing educational and career opportunities for OSS students and graduates. She believes positive relationships form the foundation for learning and looks forward to collaborating with OSS colleagues and working with students, graduates, and their families. She also enjoys time with her family, outdoor activities, gardening, cooking, and travel.
